Building Towers

This week we have been working on Geometry in Math.  We learned the names of 5 geometric objects:  cone, sphere, cylinder, rectangular prism and cube.  We learned how to sort them according to different attributes:  what they have (edges, points, vertices, curved or flat faces) and what they can do (roll or stack).  Today, students worked in small groups to build and draw the towers they built.  Then the children counted how many of each object were in their towers.
